Hi! My name is Daniel Jores and I’ve been hanging around in Heusden for a while as a UK Ex-pat resident! I’m a professional footwear designer for 25 years and I’m also pushing more artistic endeavours these days which include my Dutch modelbouw houses (which I will be creating live in the Kunstvesting event!) plus other landscape and portrait drawings, printed illustration work and some small sculptures.
I’m really influenced the most by the 1980’s and I have a great passion for films, music, sport, popular culture such as British comics, games and iconic characters. I have a thread of humour going through my work which people enjoy and I celebrate Heusden regularly by making drawings of the Vesting and incorporating them into sneakers and greeting cards which can be purchased.
